Just building our green house at this point. Will size as per specifications in relation to our grow area.

My brother and I are putting this project. He has 1 hectare of land with good exposure. We are starting with one adequite system to sustain our families. Upon snticipated success we will expand atleast 5 fold.

Okanagan Aquaponics

Good day everybody.

My brother and I have decided to get into food and fish production. We are embracing the aquaponics model. We love how it is a forced organic system. We also really love how it can be setup to be very efficient in both consumption and time commitment.

We have almost 3 acres in the North Okanagan Region of BC.. We are just now getting a small greenhouse to produce year round in a colder climate and are further to this looking to do it off grid.…

Lo Mr Thumb, No, I didn't do the aquaponics while in Canada, if I did, volumes of compost would play large as a passive heat source for the winters, as well as recessing the green house into the soil to conserve heat

Welcome to the group, nice looking greenhouse, "Growing Power" has lots of info on heating with compost etc.  I have moved from Edgewater BC to Buenos Aries, Nicaragua, where we have no such thing as frost - most of my pictures are on facebook @ https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.2181380667743.90781.1643749185&type=3, where one of the albums is devoted ainly to round concrete tank construction --  best of luck to you, Eric
