pH up

I finally put the effort into finding sources for pH up that aren't from the hydroponics store, and it turns out I can get both, easily, in my small town.calcium hydroxide is known in the masonry world as hydrated lime or masons lime. It's cheap (8$CDN for 25kg) and you can get it at any home building supply store. potassium hydroxide is sometimes also known as lye, however, take note that lye can also be sodium hydroxide so double check the ingredient when you buy it. It is used in soap…See More

Hi Courtney,

You contacted me over a year ago, Jan 28, and I apologize for not getting back to you.  My mom passed away just a few days before you tried to reach me, and as you may guess, a lot of things fell to the wayside for quite some time.

I live in/near Peachland BC, and I am interested in setting up a system, but we are on hold until our renovation is finished, which will take 6 months or so.  I would be delighted to visit and meet with you or others in the vicinity who have systems set up. We are on an acreage and will likely be setting up a 60 foot dome style greenhouse on the property, which will feed  at least 4 people and supply free food for many other friends and those in need locally. Call any time - Don 250-767-2989

Please participate and check in with us every day!  We are constantly posting news about aquaponics and the good food movement.

Thanks again for joining us, and I look forward to getting to know you.
