Hi my name is Nathan Hale. I'm from Nashville, TN and I love all things sustainability/appropriate technology. I have travelled to several countries abroad to set up self-sustaining farms.  Also have a small aquaponics setup in Antioch, TN just off I-24 exit 62. I am also an independent musician.

Yes - This community is full of people that are very excited about Aquaponics. We (my wife and I) went to the AP conference in September and we're blown away with the level of knowledge and enthusiasm that this group of people have. We met the rock stars of the AP world (Murray Hallam, Silva Bernstein, Susan Friendly, Tim Mann, Gina Cavaliero, Rob Torcellini, ,,, the list goes on and on). You will grow to Love this site and the people here. Definitely go to the next AP conference if you can in Denver next September. I think you can tell I'll be there.

Welcome Nathan,

Thanks for joining the Aquaponic Gardening community!  I hope you find it a fun place to explore aquaponics.  There is a real blend of experienced and new aquapons in this community, so please don’t hesitate to get in there and start asking questions.  Everyone is quite happy to help out new members – no question is too basic.

A great place to start is to read the “How to Use This Site” link on the upper right corner, “Start Here” section of the Home page.  You might also find the “Aquaponic Gardening Rules of Thumb” guidelines helpful.

Please add a profile image, participate and check in with us every day!  We are constantly posting news about aquaponics and the good food movement.

Thanks again for joining us, and I look forward to getting to know you.
