George. Thanks for the reply. Am running a 100 gallon tank, any idea how much I should use?
Sorry I did not see your post. I am heating my tank water to 75 degrees. The heater runs for a little while in the early dawn hours. I'm hoping to keep the tilapia growing through the winter. Will see if warm roots helps too.
Would love to come take a look at your set up. I am still trying to decide on raft or medium system
george thanks......... it been a lot of fun setting up and i really like looking a the ƒish in the tank. you know what is the best thing i found out about AP, the learning never stop.

Hi George, thanks, glad you like the system. This is my first time at aquaponics, and I am really happy with the results. We fired the system up for the first time December 12th 2011, and have harvested a lot of produce already, and have had a few fish dinners.
Hi George,
You can get a pot still for just distillation, living in florida you probably dont need the heat for a greenhouse. Look up Rainier Distillers on the internet. He built the distillation component for my stove. He builds all kinds of stills and can fix you up.
No My father grew it in his garden but I did start the plant for him in my basement in January then he planted it in May.
Hum, I guess it must just take one nut to know another. Or you aren't as nutty as you think?
good Luck with it.
Welcome George,
Great hobby and a fantastic way of growing food naturally,
God bless
