I added a thread for Greenhouses etc. You can read about how I got to the point I am at now. As for the Glass. I have some construction experience so framing out the windows was within my skills. I made some mistakes and got so buy a few tools so it was more expensive than just putting up polycarb glazing. I really wanted a Conservatory look as it is my front yard - still about 500 yards from the road though. At first I didn't consider the windows as they were tinted looking because of the low e-glass. My research resulted in finding out that they were using it in greenhouses in florida to temper the heat gain. I cut a great deal for them and had to design around the dimensions and quantities they came in. I bargained and got a good price $23 each on average. I wold recommend calling used lumber and door and window yards. Go there and bring a measuring tape and camera. See what the deal is for one and then ask about a dozen or two. Look for the biggest windows you can find as it will take less framing. The wood, hardware, paint and other stuff cost twice as much as the window. There were hundreds of other styles of window. I didn't want to use the mobile home windows as they seemed to be too flimsy. The slider doors also seemed too heavy and more money. I watch craig's list - freecycle and some other local online classified sources for materials also. I haven't found anything but the IBC tanks that look like a good deal. I hope this helps.
