It depends on the facility.  You can hang the towers tons of different ways.  We've always just slung the hanger over black pipe because it's cheapest.  I'm working on a conveyor style monorail for them.  Then we'll really be cooking with fire. . .

hmmmm....so for a commercial setup in a location with a concrete floor you'd need a very wide/shallow sump in order to keep the hanging height as close to convenient as possible.

omg!  I can't believe I didn't think of this before...why not hang up some S-hooks from the hanger bar that you can then easily hang the tower (with yellow loop) from?!

We don't use a pole.  We stand on the tank or the boards you see and place towers by hand.  It's not ideal, but I don't have much space and my greenhouse isn't set up for inset tanks.  When we put up the new greenhouse all my towers will be at ground level with a sump.

what I don't get is how the hooking over the bar happens.  the yellow cord looks like it would be hard to hook over the pole and into the tower using a pole with a hook.  I imagine it would be even harder with a full load of heavy plants!  What am I missing??

They hook over the hanging bars via a hanger.  They're really easy to take down and put up.

now i want to know how the heck you hook/unhook these suckers!?  makes me think you should buy up an old dry cleaning business and convert it into a vertical grow house!  ;)
