No the greenhouse is not designed with the "Earthship" home designs. I was just having fun with the name. I have changed its name to honor one of my gurus Bucky. I know he was referring to Spaceship Earth as the Earth. But since I have built several residential and some commercial Geodesic domes I figure I can call it Spaceship earth with a tongue in check.
There is one being built right now in Sarasota Fl. I have heard that they are looking into Aquaponics at that location.
Hello Jesse,
I was referring to the "Vertigro towers" setup and how clean they looked. I am actually also very impressed with "Nate towers" and intend to see if I can build something similar. Naturally, the professional layout at "Sweet Water Organics" is just out of this world...one that I will try to replicate to some degree if ever I go into this on a commercial scale. At present time in my life, I want to be a sponge and absorb as much information from those who are far more experienced than me and try to practice what I learn.
Hopefully I will be fortunate to be able to visit Sweet Water Organics and meet you and your team and I know that I will be deeply enlightened with this passion/hobby of mine (I have already learned so much from the few videos that are currently posted on the web). Looking forward to a wonderful class :-)
Hello Michael,
I have been reading your posts (as well as those of other members), and have really learned a lot, especially the shade covers and their effect of reducing inside temperature of the greenhouse as well as about Vertigro towers. Now that you have posted this picture, I am sure that I want to try to add this as part of the hobby system that I am building (my research project to seeing if I can go commercial one day). Did you buy individual containers or a package?
Very nice and clean. Thank you for posting these photos.
