Waste????
Noticed this in my grow bed directly under the broccoli at the opposite end of were the water flows in. It is brown, sticky and has no odor. The worms seem to not go over there.

I think John Parr was correct in calling it Algae. It is at only the one end and that is the side the widow is. I love broccoli, it was a last minute thought to add it to the bed.
