Looking great!Excellent organization. I like that you're researching several techniques at once. Looking forward to seeing it in full production!

In regards to Solar- I've installed a few Home Systems. There's a bit of math to do here.Do you already have your Solar Cells or Panel ? Are they 12v,24v, or 48v? Do you have the corresponding Solar Power Regulator for the system? You may already know that your solar battery bank will have to support your 110v pumps, so therefore you need a Power Inverter that can handle the total wattage of all your pumps etc.
The Solar Battery Bank should consist of Deep Cycle AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) Batteries. The AGM Batteries handle the charging and draining cycles better than other Deep Cycle batteries. I would recommend Optima or Werker brand Batteries.

Ha ha ha...feed an army? Now that's an idea :-)

I have this inkling to go commercial but both my wife and son requested that I show them that I can produce one full season of quality food before I venture into such. So here is the start of "My Research Aquaponic Fish Farm". You Zip Grow Towers are certainly going to be a part of the research...if you see the 4x4 frame at the back right of the photo, that's where they will be suspended along with some towers that I plan to design. Boy! Just inkling to get those Zip Grow Towers started with Strawberries...only handicap at present is the fact that I sustained an Achilles tendon rupture a couple of weeks ago (ouch!), so the project is kinda delayed somewhat (:

Thank you. Yes, I know it will never be over...but that is the fun part. I will share as and when I complete a particular project as well as growth stage of plants / fish :-)

As regards Solar, I am still doing research. Any suggestions?

Beautiful system! What kind of batteries are you going to use with your solar?
