The cups are simply yogurt cups that I saved (from before I started making my own yogurt.)

The wicks in the pots are great. You can find those good will mop heads at Publics I think.

And Yes they work for seeds though they do work better with some seeds that others and it can be kinda tedious to get the seeds well situated against the wicks to be sure they get enough moisture to germinate but I've done pretty good with lettuce this way. You can simply place the net pots or cups in a tray of water till they germinate or I've even just set the cups on some thick wicking mat with an edge hanging in water to let them germinate or even put them right in place in the pipes with the wicks hanging into the water flow.

TC, Im soon going to be putting pots in my trough rafts Did this work well for you? Where did you find used budding pots ? Can I start seeds in this? Thanks Paul
