Finally getting some nice growth... still not really getting anything to register water-test-wise... but hey - I harvested a huge amount of leeks and I'm getting a big crop of beans from just 3 vines! This AP stuff is working! Whoo Hoo!

There are lots of different types out there, one of my friends have some that are about 14" deep and not very expensive. . .I'll see if I can find out where she got them.

Nate - I am with Michael... what's a green-roof tubs/tiles?? :-)
What I used were growbeds sold by a hydroponics store... not cheap, but the only thing I could find at first that seemed to work. They are only 7-8 inches deep, so that is not so great. They have been producing OK, however. I'm still on the lookout for cheaper growbeds (that look nice!) I am happy with the one we built with plywood and pond liner. But it would also be nice to figure out something that is already built/created like tubs or something.

Hey Lori, are those green-roof tubs/tiles? Very clever! I hadn't thought of that. Those might actually be the cheapest growbeds avail. now that I think about it. Very interesting.
