I inherited a moss filled backyard pond, the remote AP turned it gin clear in 2 weeks. It's now much healthier for the inhabitants. I'm breeding and growing with Nile, Mozambique and Nile Hybrids. I sell tilapia fry and fingerlings; bulk fish food, worms, gammarus (scuds) and give plenty of free advise. If you want I'll build you a system too!

I want to invite you to join my new group Arizona Aquaponics

    Hi Jim,

The workshop was great.  We had two people from Norway, one from Chile a couple from Canada and of course many states represented.

It was great, some very serious aquaponic growers attended the 3-day event at Nelson and Pade, Inc.

Jim, thanks so much for the offer. I ordered some from Pratts in Glendale last night. I live in Surprise and that would have been a trip, but a good chance to see your set up. Again thanks for the offer.

    thankyou for welcoming me

@Jim - Please take a look at my Blog Post.

    What do you think?

  • Robert Rowe

@Jim My latest experiment is with my FT2 future Tilapia home. Unfortunately I didn't try it during the cold snap. The frost cloth is magic it lets the sun in but doesn't let the chilled wind draw the heat out. Follow my posts, I am active on the forum. If I have to use a active heater (Non solar) it may never (or rarely) get used.

    Hi Jim,

Thanks for the add. We're just getting started in this adventure. While very excited and a little overwhelmed by the AP process, we're ready to grow some great food for our family.

As much as we'd love to come to the "Grand Tour', I work a two week schedule and I'm working that weekend. Maybe another day.

  • Robert Richards

Hi Jim,that sounds great for a tour. Its where and when?

  • Charlene McCarthy

Hi Jim, thank you for adding me. I too am very very new to this. In my message I discussed another type of fish other than tilapia. Fish and Game are particular where the tilapia are and I am just too close to Lake Roosevelt. Mr. Fitz at the college suggested catfish, but not channel. He felt Asian or African would be better. He is very active in the aquaponics gardening. So I will search for these guys. Have any ideas?

Thank You Jim for the information on the Maroon cinders. I got them this weekend. I hope to have them in a use soon

HI Jim.  Thanks.  It is actually an Ariel Atom.  The pic is from when my wife and I flew to Oregon and drove it back home.  My brother has an elise.

  • Randy Mann

Thanks Jim!  Took your suggestion and created a blog on the main.  Give me a month and I will be ready for the fish!

  • Samson J. Loo

Thank you. With all this information I received from joining this group I'll be saving a lot of time and money. Thank you very much!!

    Hello Jim

I apologize for not responding sooner, but I have moved to a new area where there is no space for my unit, thus it has been mothballed. The towers did not run long enough to test many different crops, but my gut feel was that with the dense media I had, the spacing was too close for long-growing crops.

    Hey Jim,

I am just learing about aquaponics and don't have a system yet. I am also working on the 4th but would love to hear about the tour and perhaps join in when I can.
