Pollination of greenhouse plants that have male/female flowers is tricky and something I've avoided by just avoiding these kinds of plants.  But I found this video on how to hand pollination excellent!  Hmmm...maybe some zucchini this winter after all...

Enjoy!

I use a little more brute force for my pollination.  An electric toothbrush works great!  I just go around from flower to flowers buzzing everything.  Once we are done with the danger of frost the bees come out and happily take over.
I have also seen people use small paint brushes to do the same thing.  Good video though!
When I was at AeroGrow we developed a "pollinator" that was essentially a cheap, Chinese electric toothbrush with a bee and a brush on it's head.  We called it "Be the Bee".  Pretty schmaltzy, eh?
Mine is an "Oral Bee"   LOL
Ha! Love it.
Great video. I was using a small feather duster and not having great results on my cucumbers. Now I know why thx Sylvia.

just dont use a water pick

I found that the best way was to use the methods outlined above... but playing Barry White or Marvin Gaye at the same time definitely upped the vibe in the greenhouse and I am absolutely positive that I got higher yields! ;-)

You are not going to believe this, but we discover this by accident, in the hidroponic greenhouse that we have in the past we connect the cables that were use to hold the indeterminate plants to the end walls were the two big cooling fans were and wen this come on, everything will vibrate transmitting true the cables and make the plants shake, it is fumy but it works and cut the pollinating time in half I may say. We are rebuilding the green house one more time and turn it to acuaponic and I have this in mine. Some times things are much simple that we can imagine. Hope you smile
