So how are you supposed to tend, plant and harvest in those beds? And are the IBC frames sitting in the water? That would be bad since galvanized metal tends to leach too much zinc into the water.
THIS is the system I want.

an amazing solar IBC pond installation at LACMA for tilapia, tomatoes, cilantro ... See it and be inspired.
Sorry for my comment not being about aquaponics.
An associate of mine is going to Florida and I was hoping someone could help him find a fruit bearing mango tree to take a sapling.
It seems that we don´t have any in Iceland and they would be awesome in an aquaponic system.
I would be very thankful if someone could help in this matter.
I was having the same problem in my green house. I solved the problem with fly paper. I hung the strips and the the little flies are almost gone. It took a couple of weeks for the numbers to go down dramaticly.
Yea soap can be dangerous for the fish if overspray gets into the water.
There might be a Bacillus thurgensis product that would be fish safe that might work against the fly larva if they happen to be fungus gnats.
Soap is often used as spray. But I would suggest some kind of predator as a better alternative.
Any Ideas on what I can use to spray for some little bugs they look like small flies there in my green house but what ever it is has to be safe around the fish
NO, Limestone is NOT a good grow media. It will keep your pH way to high for most plants to thrive long term.
