Morning
Sir nitrate I have not checked yet....no testing kit...very expensive
Fish in my system 10 male tilapia+-30g and 15 Kio...8 off the Kio are +-150-200 mm and the rest are smaller 80mm
In total I have25 fish in the system and in my system +-1760 litres water...in my tank I have +-600 litres
Safwat if you open the chart ....double click you can see the chart clear
Thank you
Hi Francisco,
Thank you for sharing your experience with your AP system, unfortunately the chart is not clear to me! can you tell us how much nitrate you get now since you started last July?
What's the size of the fish tank and how may koi in it?
Hi Francisco,
Thanks for your reply, I would like to know if the system means the rafts where you plant the vegetables and your fish are in the tank? Is that right? Does the water cycle continously from the filter into the rafts and back to the fish tank? Now where are the worms in the filter or in the growing beds?, Don't they get drowning?
Cheers
Hi Safwat
yes sir the rafts is the polystyrene flouting with plants
the system cycles continously and the worms do fine i a system in the water
the worms are in my worm filter were the water from the tank runs through before going into my grow trays with the plants
as long there is food for them you can have them in growbeds no problem....they survive and do good for a system
i believe the worms is aquaponics secret weapon....
Yust me thinking
this was worms in the growt rays of my pilot project...between the gravel and they thrived
Thank you guys for the clarification. I had the impression that the worms migrate away from water flooding media.

Hi
It is almost like they take over.....in a good way

Hi Francois,
I have just had a great 1.5hrs reading through all of your posts from start to finish. What a great story and such inventive ideas. This is absolutely fantastic to read through and I have really enjoyed doing so.
Thank you for posting all of this stuff up, and good luck with the new system, which also looks super.
