Tours of local aquaponics gardens and farms from 11 - 4 pm (looking for a ride? want to share a car rental? click here to find a carpool buddy)
Aquaponics Basics session - 4 - 6 pm

8:30 - 9:00 Conference Registration
9:00 - 10:00 Opening remarks (Sylvia Bernstein of The Aquaponic Source)
10:00 - 11:00 “Aquaponics and Integrated Approaches to Energy, Food & Waste" (Charlie Price of Aquaponics UK)
11:00 - 12:00 Panel Discussion - "The Future of Aquaponics" (Gina Cavaliero of Green Acre Organics)

AFTERNOON

Luncheon keynote - Susanne Friend of Friendly Aquaponics
Workshops all afternoon with three focuses: commercial, community and home/backyard
6:30 - Dinner - Murray Hallam keynote, Auction, have fun!
Post dinner Aquaponic Gardening Book release party

SUNDAY (end at noon)

$275
$200 for a second person from the same household
Fee includes food at Friday Meet and Greet, the Keynote Luncheon and Dinner on Saturday, hotel conference facilities, and some speaker expenses
does not include hotel room, transportation, breakfasts or alcohol

Comment by Lee DeLano on June 7, 2011 at 11:27am: I am so excited about the conference. Is Murray going to be a guest speaker, or just using his techniques? My husband and I are newbies, and have a long way to go. Our long term goal is to be able to grow enough food to can, for our family.

We don't talk about our grandkids nearly as much as we do Aquaponics!!! And we do love and talk about our grandkids alot!!!

We hope to have it up by the weekend and ready to accept registrations. I was excited to hear you agreed to be one of our wonderful workshop speakers or at least I hope that is the case!

We will be announcing a mo' detailed, mo' final schedule next week when the website goes live ...but it suffice to say that it is starting to look like a real "whose who" of the aquaponics world.

I just wanted to let everyone know that September 8 - 10, there will be the Florida restaurant and Loding show at the Orange County Convention Center.

www.flrestaurantandlodgingshow.com It is important to us, that if we grow on a large enough scale to provide an income or at least break even on our investment, that we become a force and supplier to restaurants and hotel. This show will present to you the many different aspects of providing food to the industry.....think maybe a co-op type of selling. I have had 25 years in the restaurant business and some insight to the purchasing of products. You all need to go at least one day to "see" whats going on. We, in Florida, on onto a growing movement of "clean" food. Education is a good thing...I'm just saying...

Comment by Sylvia Bernstein on May 29, 2011 at 1:53pm: We've managed to get the cost down to $225 per person if you sign up before Sept 1, and $295 after that. A second person from the same household can attend for $150! We are getting these rates down so far from where they originally were because we are counting on you all to sign up and come!
