Perennials in AP

One of the main points of focus in permaculture is the use of perennial plants as opposed to annuals. Here in the Florida Keys, many plants that are usually considered annuals can be grown as perennials.  For example, I once had a pepper plants in my AP system for over 3 years, and Ive grown the same basil plants for about the same duration.  Right now, Im trying to focus on perennial, heat loving greens in the system, so I have moringa, katuk, malabar spinach and some others in AP.Anyone else…See More

"I now have 3 celery stumps in my system that have grown to 12-16 inches tall.  When I need some I just go cut some off and more grows back.  It has been in the system for 8 months.  Don't buy it at the store anymore.  HOORAA"

Thanks for joining the Aquaponic Gardening community!  I hope you find it a fun place to explore aquaponics.  There is a real blend of experienced and new aquapons in this community, so please don’t hesitate to get in there and start asking questions.  Everyone is quite happy to help out new members – no question is too basic.
