Please tell us something else about yourself.
i am an environmental science student at Sierra Nevada College on the north shore of lake Tahoe. coming from a soil based, greenhouse background for the past several years in Humboldt, CA, i transferred to the tahoe basin and became inspired to find out how efficient and productive aquaponics is for myself. i currently have system up that utlizes almost 100% up cycled (and free)materials. the tank now holds 15 black bass in 75 gallons of water. agriculture in an alpine climate is basically unheard of, and i am in process of solving that problem through aquaponics .this has been a great learning process and i see aquaponics being a part of my future for as far as i can see. i am hooked.

Hello there. In response to your question of Sac Perch, I have some and I'm currently breeding them. I don't know how many you need and when you want them, but I may be able to supply you. Sac Perch are not commercially farmed or stocked, so it is unlikely you will find a commercial supplier of them. I hope you do, and please let me know if you get lucky. Thanks

Welcome Graham,

Thanks for joining the Aquaponic Gardening community!  I hope you find it a fun place to explore aquaponics.  There is a real blend of experienced and new aquapons in this community, so please don’t hesitate to get in there and start asking questions.  Everyone is quite happy to help out new members – no question is too basic.

A great place to start is to read the “How to Use This Site” link on the upper right corner, “Start Here” section of the Home page.  You might also find the “Aquaponic Gardening Rules of Thumb” guidelines helpful.

Please add a profile image, participate and check in with us every day!  We are constantly posting news about aquaponics and the good food movement.

Thanks again for joining us, and I look forward to getting to know you.

Sylvia
