I'm planning to drain and clean my IBC fish tank but due to the amount of rain we've had I don't want to put it on my gardens right now. Is there any reason I shouldn't put in in my rain storage tank for future use in the gardens?
Thanks Jim, That's kinda what I thought. Things aren't growing like they did in the beginning and water samples haven't revealed a lot so I'll probably just start with new rain water.

Just keep it covered from Sun light and don't plan on keeping it too long. You can also just put it back in the fish tank after you clean it.
I read about adding nitrogen to soil gardens but there aren't any suggested levels for nitrogen in the form of nitrates. If I want to use fish water to fertilize my gardens what level of nitrates should I dilute too (60-80-160 ppm) to get the most bang for the buck ?
