No fish in my system currently and need some of the little predators. Does anyone in the Sacramento area have a dozen or so they can spare?

Mine are all gone, presumed dead over the winter. Contact Sac-Yolo Vector Control and they will bring some out for you. When I contacted them last year, they came out the very next day, without coordinating with me. So just be aware of that when filling out the form.
Good luck!

Thanks Jim! I'll give that a go.

You're welcome! By the way, I notice on my computer that "Sac-Yolo Vector Control" doesn't look much different from the surrounding text. But it's actually a hyperlink if you hover over it. It'll take you straight to the request form.
You read my mind Paul, that was going to be my next course of action if no one had any skeeter fish to spare. just go pick up some feeders at the local fish store. My new house is right next to the American River and the mosquitoes waste no time with standing water.

I think goldfish will also eat mosquito larvae
