I have had one of my bell siphon's working for about six months. The other day is began not breaking the siphon. It starts the siphon perfectly; it just won't break it.  I have adjusted the flow rate of the water both down and up trying to tune it in, but to no avail.  Any ideas?

When was the last time you cleaned out the pipes?  That will affect mine from time to time

Thanks Jonathan.  I've read Affnana's information before, but will give it another look with this problem in mind.

Thanks Suzanne.  All the pipes are clear, but I'm thinking the vent tube may be clogged so I'm going to take a look at it today. There may be some algae in it.

Just an update.  My standpipe is 1" in diameter.  I added a 2" >1" reduced at the top an bam. It started working perfectly. Still not sure why it quit in the first place.
