woms in my deep water bed (DWB)

I put some worms into my media beds some time ago.  recently I found some worms in the DWB.  I guess my system has plenty of dissolved oxygen.  They seem to be doing fine.  It seems that there is a lot of solid waste collecting DWB.  Is it ok to leave them there or should I transfer them back to the media bed?

leave them there to do their thing... turns out they can live underwater with no problem.

Thank you... I wasn't sure and thought I would ask people with more experience.  The worms are still happy.
