Can I eat fish that died in the tank?

Hi All,

I forgot to turn my pumps back on last night, and today I woke to oxygen starved catfish. This was very upsetting to see them on the surface, struggling for air. In total, I lost 9 cats. I scooped them out and they're in my fridge. I'm hesitant to eat them. Any guidance is appreciated.

Unfortunately, I don't really know how to answer that question....personally, I wouldn't eat them, especially if you're not sure how long they've been dead.

Thanks Alex. I think I'll practice gutting and filleting with them...
