I just wondered about lights. I will be in a 9x9 room in our garage all year. I have one High Output light that holds 4 bulbs and it was the brightest one at Lowes. But I have read that for plants that fruit(tomatoes) I will need a light that puts out blue. When looking through the store here, I found tons of different lights at lots of different wattage...Help! I am hoping to have tomatoes and strawberries in the winter. The room is insulated but no heat. I was hoping the lights would warm it up. How many hours of light should the plants get? All help would be appreciated! Cathy
your best bet would be to talk to a hydoponic store, they know everything about lights and the spectrum that the plants need. They also sell the lights their too.
Do you know of a store or have a store you deal with. I have only found web sites with no people to talk to...Thanks for the reply.

Just a follow up on my lights. I called the store here at Aquaponic Gardening and They were a great help and through talking to them I discovered that there were a couple of Hydroponic stores near by so I am much better off than I was yesterday.Thank you to you Matt and to the Matt in the store for the help and suggestions!
