I wonder is that a minimum depth for flood and drain system?

I heard is 30cm minimum or deeper.

Im trying to use 4 inches pvc pipe to do this. for my Chinese cabbage. hihi..

You can go as shallow as 16cm but you won't be able to support vigorous root systems.
