What can a city person use to de-chlorimine and de-chloride their system for their tilapia fish.  thanks mary

to get rid of chlorine, just aerate and expose to sunlight for 24 hours.. for chloramine, i've seen some info that shows vitamin c will take remove them - well.. not remove, but break down.. 1000 milligrams for 50 gallons of water - it's not supposed to affect ph, but i'd still be careful and check after treatment

Mary - I'd stay away from Vitamin C or L-ascorbic acid.  Acids will lower pH.  I have a system in my basement and I've been using a BMS water filter.  See link.

I found one at Amazon for $95 dollars.  It simply hooks to your hose facet and then you connect a hose at the other end.  It's rated for 25K gallons/use.  You should check it out.  Let me know if you have any other questions.
