Aquaponic Gardening

A Community and Forum For Aquaponic Gardeners

Friends,

After a real fun evening with Justin introducing aquaponics to a nice crowd of mostly newbies, I slipped and dropped the aquarium we used as a demonstration unit.  End of aquarium.  Now I need to replace it.  Eventually it will end up being donated for use at the Sacramento non-profit community center where we did our presentation.  Before then, it'll be part of the State Fair exhibit starting next week.

So, any of you got an old unused aquarium laying around that you'd like to donate?  The one I just killed was 29 gallon.  If yours is a bit smaller or somewhat bigger, it could still work.

Let me know.  Soon, if possible.  Thanks in advance for any offers.

I've got one slightly larger than that, the plastic base is cracked on one side, no top, no light, holds water, I'll pull it out and figure out the volume tomorrow morning.

Also for future reference you can contact your local animal control. They usuallly have tons of aquariims that they throw away every month. Could repurpose a lot if them.

THE SEARCH CONTINUES! the tank I had got a nasty chip in it at some point and no longer holds water.

I have a tank!  Let me know if you still need it.

Thank you both, Fishy & Rochelle, for coming through with tanks!  You're awesome.  The need is met, don't need any other offers at this time (but might for an elementary school project in the fall...)

Happy to help. I wasn't able to volunteer for the state fair, it was the least I could do.
