"Discover Aquaponics" in Sac July 3

the following just went out on Facebook:

 

"Sol Collective's Liberation Permaculture is pleased to present "Discover Aquaponics", as part of our ongoing monthly skill share series.

Come learn about growing fish and vegetables together in a recirculating, environmentally-friendly, do-it-yourself system.

From 6-7 pm, we will experience an introduction to the concept through actual assembly of a small desktop aquaponics system.

From 7-8 pm, we will have a round-table discussion with local aquaponics enthusiasts who have recently participated in a number of advanced trainings.

Please RSVP, as we expect there to be alot of interest.

This event is FREE, but we do have a suggested donation of $5 to help cover costs of the event."

So far those "local aquaponics enthusiasts who have recently participated in a number of advanced trainings" include 3 of us who were on the recent Sac tour who individually participated in trainings by Max Meyers in Santa Cruz, Growing Power in Milwaukee, and University of Wisconsin/Nelson & Pade in Wisconsin.  There's a possibility that we'll have another tour participant who went to the Green Acres training in Florida in May, and another guy who toured 3 aquaponics farms in Hawaii recently.

I'm not real familiar with Facebook but I guess one can RSVP there.  I'll try to keep Sol Collective up to date if anyone here says they're going, just to keep an eye on numbers.  It's an open public event, no tickets or anything like that.

I made an in person visit to the Sol Collective yesterday 6/21 and the person there could not give me any information however, he did take my name and number and said someone (a woman I think) would call me back. Nothing yet. Can I just show up?
