feeding the fish while your away

I have a very small system and I do not have the automated fish feeder... is there something I can put in the water that is slow dissolving that will not hurt the fish or plants?

http://www.aquaticeco.com/subcategories/1036/Pond-Feeder   i use this and its worked great  as far as your gold fish die off  they are very prone to amonia issues  check for that  if it is high then my question is   "are you using a bio reactor"  any filter would do  to reduced the amonia to nitrate.  I can sell you fingerling just not sure I have the best price.  I have a few albino cats in my pond  but don't eat most fresh water fishes.  I do like swia  which is likely all that wil be eaten from the ponds.

No not using a bio reactor, How much are you cat fingerlings and where are you located?

I was over feeding them...  where Is Jax??? Jacksonville Fl. ?

They do make some slow dissolving fish food blocks for aquariums, I've never used them myself though.

those blocks contain plaster and not sure if good in a food system.    Deb, yes jacksonville Fl
