Magnesium Oxide Cement

Hi, I wanted to bring to your attention a new building method that I'm starting to experiment with. You dip burlap into magnesium oxide cement, throw it on a form and let it dry. My understanding is that the chemicals are beneficial for plants and it is waterproof. I hope to start experimenting with it this week. I'm getting components now.

You might want to contact Mr. Singh at Singh Farms in Scottsdale. He bags his mulch/compost in big burlap bags, not sure if he gets them locally or from where, but surely it's wholesale from someone. He might even sell you some direct.

I'd come across an article that listed a number of products. Ceramicrete (?) comes to mind.

Hey Brian, good to see you here. I'm looking forward to trying this building method as well. Hope we can work together on this project. I'm wondering since it's been used for water cisterns, does this mean it might be good for lining a pond?

Oh, BTW, Home Depot sells rolls of burlap in their garden center. I took note of the price...but partzheimers has set in.
