Flow rate

I have been unable to find a paper which states an optimum flow rate or some way to determine an optimum flow rate. anyone have any advice? thanks.

They have found that 5 gpm works well.

Which flowrate?

Pump from the fish tank should extract at least as many liters as there are in the fishtank every hour.

1000 liter fishtank=1000 l. per hour.

the water in the fish tank needs to turn over the entire volume of water once an hour
