Ick problem.

My fish have suddenly started dropping off. I hatchery I got them from said it may be ICK. And that catfish seem to have the biggest issue with ick. He also said Talapia are less effected by this parasite. Can anyone confirm this info? And can anyone give me ideas as to how the fish may have gotten it? (fish have been fine for two weeks) i did add gravel from an established AP system recently.

Ick usually looks like white pimples on the fish.

If you got the fish less than a few a month ago, it's possible the parasite came in with the fish.

Salt to 3 ppt and warm up the water to about 86 F for a few weeks might be your only chance but if fish are already dieing, it may be too late for some of them.
