I picked up a pickup load at Soil builders Supply In Dallas this week. They have tons.

What is the volume on the 40lb bag of expanded shale?  How many bags would it take for an IBC tote system?

Somewhere around 500lbs David or 13 bags. @ Randall any idea on the bulk pricing ?

Thank You!

Thanks Alex.

On the crushed granite front, would it be too heavy for a tote system?

Bastrop stone now has the pricing for the 1/2" - 3/4" expanded shale. 135.00/yd FOB, Bastrop Texas. I am now looking to find interested people in the Texas community interested in expanded shale at this size and price. I will be looking for 3 yards myself. they have 7yd, 12yrd and 26yrd trucks.

Hey Martin,

I would be interested, but only need ~1/2 yard.

@Randall

Would 1/2"-1" crushed pink granite be prohibitively heavy in an IBC tote?

Thanks everyone.

I am getting an idea of how many yards we would need. We are up to 3.5 now. Thanks. That would be a very heavy tote if it were filled. How many gallons does the tote hold or the outside dimensions?

The bed will be 40x47X12 (Approximately) about 13 cubic feet.

I need 1.5 yards ASAP
