MY SON BUILT A HEATER FOR A 330 GAL TANK USING RANDY MOSS'S SYSTEM BUT THE THERMOSTAT ONLY WORKS AS AN ON OFF SWITCH. THERE SEEMS TO BE NO ADJUSTMENT TO CUT ON AND OFF AUTOMATICLY! ANY SUGGESTIONS?

once you work out whats wrong with the heater you should take a look at your keyboard it appears your caps lock key is stuck

Frank most likely bumped the caps lock when he was trying to hit the shift key....then realized what happened and didn't feel like re-typing it. His problem,  can be easily fixed by typing more carefully.

Just get a Therostat with a 4 ft probe to read water temp and it will work fine, if you can't fine one call me I can send you one good luck
I use nothing around my copper probe with no problems I do not have it touching any medal at all  I drilled a hole in the wood holding the heater and run the probe through the wood into the water, I have got 3 300 gal tanks with no troubles sorry about your goldfish but you will not build a better heater that will last long term like this one, I try to put as much detail as I can in my videos, but if you have trouble call my number is on the video good luck

Randy Moss uses the aquirement of the spa thermostat  that is sorta' left up to you. Got mine on Amazon.com.  There is actually ajustment in the ones I bought. And I bought the cheapest. The  copper sensor needs to be put inside plastic tubing and sealed off with silicone sealant unless you get a better moisture proof thermostat. He doesn't tell you this in his video but don't use pressure treated wood to suspend your heater.

I learned the hard way by loss of sacrificial feeder goldfish.

Better off just doing the Rob Nash version heater.
