My school system is doing well (as evident by the Harvest Day blog post) but I have a few questions.

Our systems seem to have some nutrient deficiencies. Yellowing of the leaves in our cucumbers and  in our beans:

We've been adding iron and Calcium regulary. I think we've been adding to much calcium but I haven't checked pH in a while.

yea, if you add too much calcium carbonate you can lock out the iron and potassium.  The yellow with green veins is usually a sign of Iron deficiency when it starts in new leaves and it is usually from the pH being too high.

The browning might be from potassium lock out from having too much calcium.

So, someone did a 1/3 water change and the pH was 6 after. We decided to stop adding supplements now. I'll tell ya'll about anything new tomorrow.

We have 3 fish left!--we had a huge nitrate spike that we later found out was from a automatic feeder filled with food dropping into the water. Also, almost all our water was out because our grow bed drained onto the greenhouse floor, which hurt the respiratory system. Long story short the plants love the nitrates.

OOH.

Well, automatic feeders are dangerous.  I'll admit that.

Sorry to hear about the wet floor. and all else but at least it sounds like your plants may be happy.

Yeah, the cucumbers are still going crazy.
