Sahib’s Research Station – Winter Park

Sahib has managed to pack in a lot into a little. Sahib cultivates catfish, Koi and Tilapia to support his multiple growing systems and research efforts.

Cosmo’s Cosmic Greenhouse – Inverness

Anyone familiar with Cosmo’s creative blog posts can only imagine why we are calling this stop on the aquaponic tour route Cosmo’s Cosmic Greenhouse where fairies and the alien Tilapia reside. Made with mostly recycled building materials, this greenhouse is innovation at its best.

Morningstar Fishermen – Aquaponics with a Mission! – Dade City

Green Sky Growers/Aquatic EcoSystems Roof Top Garden – Winter Garden           Green Sky Growers image

This roof top greenhouse and aquaponic garden was the vision and creation of Florida citrus industy mogul Bert Roper.  Located on top of  The Garden Building in Winter Garden Florida, Green Sky is the first Certified Green building in the world with a commercial scale, aquaponic farm on the rooftop.

Paul‘s Place – Hudson

For those that think living in a neighborhood won’t allow for a sizable aquaponic system, they can’t miss Paul’s Place. Using a beautifully landscaped pond just beside his home, Paul feeds vertical stackers and over 90’ of raft trough. Paul is great example of being in a housing community and still having plenty of grow space.

Not so great. Right across from the elevator with the hum of the highway  in the bg.

We are in 431 and just had a huge meal but we would be up for a few cool ones later. I also have a van and could take 3 more people to the 3 closest farms. We are going to the commercial training beginning Monday so will be on that side of the state.

unofficial plans for this evening are to meet in the lobby at 6 for a dinner date.  Drinks can come before or after.

HAVE RIDE

Near 32837 Zipcode & Hunter's Creek.

If anyone needs a ride call my house phone 407-859-8771 or on my cell 407-242-9801.

I'll be leaving early to get up to Winter Park in Time.

If someone needs a ride back to the hotel after that's fine if we split cost for travel back-bound to home.

Ride available

Sorry for the late input? I have a car rented and am scheduled to visit Green Sky Growers at 9am, TCLynx at 10:30, then Sahib's at 1pm. Let me know if you need a ride and these farms match your schedule. I have room for three but the back seat's pretty small and windy. (Mustang convertible and hope to have the top down!)

Hi it is 630 pm I just got here anyone still want to go somewhere and eat.

Raychel

Are you up for the cold ones?

Hi Jimmie,

Gerri Kier here...I have just arrived to Orlando.  I did not hear from you so did not know if you had received my messages. I REALLY need to know the location and time to meet tomorrow.  Sorry for the confusion but I knew I would be getting in late and needed to know the plans for tomorrow so I will not be late.  I have not heard from Two Jay either on where and when to meet so not sure YET about tomorrow.  If you could call me or text that would be great.  303-815-3567.  Thanks so much.

Gerri
