Hi All,

Just goes to show that the policies/systems of our leaders are out of touch with the present reality of the world. This could be the start to initiate a wake up call for them and us all. What surprises me is that there seems to be no one with enough foresight coming forward to address this!

I think in this case it is more a situation of the local government oiling the squeeky wheel so to speak.  Basically letting the vocal complainers to code enforcement dictate what is acceptable by jumping to their every complaint.  There are some parts of the country where the gov finally pushed back and said that HOA's are not allowed to say people can't have solar panels and clothes lines, but the garden is still a gray area in most of the country and so few people actually garden for food these days that there are not many of this sort of case yet.

I personally find lawns rather horrible to look at, I wonder if I should start complaining to code enforcement about all these people with lawns that cause noise pollution and air pollution twice a week when they have to mow and weed whack and blow the leaves around and disturb the peace of the neighborhood.

Do it! I think I'll form a complaint about the destructive, ugly, and disgraceful thing that is called a lawn.
