Vertical tower planted with tomatoes, basil & broccoli

Vertical tower is up, running & planted for the spring. I have a cherry tomato vine, a broccoli start as well as a nice basil trimming that my friend donated...

@Melissa - I don't know how it was made, but I bought it at the aquaponics store for $17.95.

It looks like a cut PVC pipe with heat applied, then molded...but much easier in my type of setting to buy it.

thanks Christopher! I was actually wondering about that...but wasn't sure if the constant down flow of water helped mix in enough air, or if hours off at a time would be bad for the bacteria (not that it would matter too much since I have mature plant filters running 24/7) - though still plenty of nitrates left for the tower and I'm stocking some more fish.  Anyway, I'll try that out - it's also in my bedroom and a little loud, so might help me sleep better.
