Tahnkyou very much for taking the time to explain Peng, really appreciate it..showed my parents the video today and they loved it too. :D
As I designed and installed the whole thing by myself, the cost is far lower than you have the job done by contractors. It cost me about 30,000 Aussie dollars to complete it. However, I have to admit that some of the cost was a result of lack of experience, many mistakes made. If you are an experienced handy man, the cost can be even lower; for example, instead of spend 10,000 Aussie dollars on fibreglass grow beds, you can build yourself for one fifth of the cost. I believe that if you have the land, build the largest one possible; I don't see it as a hobby, but an asset, a business. So far, I can see the system is going to pay for itself in the next 12 months.
Hello Peng, absolutely loved your video mate. You look like your having a great time with AP and i can't wait til i'm doing the same. Great system and fabulous crops u have there. Would you mind telling how much the set up cost was please? Thankyou very much, Matt (England)
There are a few people on this site using humonia to run their systems and doing very well with it, seems like this is a trend that is catching on. Thanks for the feed back, you are obviously doing something very right the proof is in the video. I wish you all the best with your system.
in the beginning, you do need to add some nutrient into the system. I added seaweed extract. However, the most effective addition is fresh human urine. Yes, it sounds bad, but, when you think about it, it is really no different from fish waste. I have done a bit research on the issue, and the conclusion is that it is safe and harmless to fish if you can keep the amount in check, and, your system is capable of convert ammonia into nitrite and nitrate. As I am writing this post, the city of Melbourne in Australia is building a facility in the CBD to collect human urine for an industry scale production of fertiliser.
Very nice. I wish you much success.
thanks.
Great System! I like your the way you grow your cucumbers to shade your fish tanks
