I have great growth but some plants look like they have dry skin????

Yes I did ,,it was  little mildew n a lot of little Bugs,,,lol had to take it out,,,but thats ok,,live n learn right,,,,but took care of the bugs used Murrys teck kneek with Molasses,   n it works,,,lol

well I'm putting up some new photos today of my new AP system I made in my living room ,,this one is a flood n drain,,,,I'll have a new video up soon to,,,later all thanks for the info,,,,,

Did you ever resolve the problem with white spots?

Dis you add Manganese?  I think Epsom Salts are good for that.

  If it's white spots, it might be powdery mildew.  I use to get it a lot on my squash plant

Manganese deficiency: Yellow spots and/or elongated holes between veins
