Take a look at this!
Costco has a good price to begin with (about $8.00), but there were some rebates that knocked another $2.00 off the price. So each box of 4 costs $5.99 right now. I was going to use T5 bulbs, but I saw that, and did the math.
I'm waiting for a response from the manufacture for more information about the light spectrum. All I have been able to find so far is that they are "Full Spectrum". I'm hoping this will work for me, if not Costco will take them back.
I'll post a picture of my finished grow lamp and the specs if I hear back from Feit Electric.
Here are the specs on yours. I think 5000K is good for a grow light.
Thanks,
I'm really impressed by the results you have had with CFLs
Today I bought 16 23W CFLs today at Costco for $24.00 and 16 lamp bases for $20.40. Total cost $44.40
25600 lumen or about 577 lumen per dollar, and a total of about 370W.
My grow bed is only 25 sq. ft so I'm hoping 1000 lumen per sq ft will be enough.
Thre is 19cfl at 23 watts daylight = a 100watts each, 6 T8 Daylights=32watts each n 2 T12=40watts n thre cool white,,
I counted 11 23w CFL and 4 - 32w T5 florescent bulbs. Did I get that right?
