Hi George, your right it may be several months before I see seed on these.   I gathered seed last year from 2 plants, and it does take some time.     But I had plenty to give seed away and have reserve for myself.

You may not get seed on the kale for quite some time, possibly summer.  Last year we picked ours until April or so and never saw blooms - variety Lacinato.
