Intro: Why I Do It

First Post: Why I do it, what I do. I'm halfway through a move to the real rural agrarian country, from a residential country block closer to town. I'm *this* close to Joel Malcom's BYAP shop but haven't managed the drive, and by the time I finish this move I'll be another few hundred miles further away...

While on the residential block, I did start to build an Aquaponic system up, it was supposed to complement a rabbit shed, by supplying green feeds and herbs like parsley and mint for the rabbits. Then the renting of a farmhouse and the use of it, several acres around it, and two dams' worth of water came up.

Because I can't see the point of shipping some framework and a load of corrugated iron out to the farm, that means I've stripped the system down again and will sell the bits locally and start again once I'm established out there.

When I'm up and running, I'll have a few things worth the while, such as organic rabbits, some leafy greens, and a lot of fish to sell. The main need was definitely that organic rabbit feed, everything else will be a nice bonus.

I'll post more once I get settled and start the new system, and definitely there'll be reports. And questions. Oh, the questions I have... %)

But for now I just wanted to intro myself and now I'll settle back and read read read...
