You may already know this, but Stephanie Leal on the Big Island was planning to offer Macrobrachium rosenbergii the last time I was in contact with her a few months ago. Her email address is stephleal12@yahoo.com. She currently carries Opae Ula and (supposedly a pure strain of white) Oriochromis niloticus tilapia. Since you are both on the Big Island, she might be your best source.
Another source is on Oahu that ships rosenbergii interisland, but the Hawaii Department of Agriculture need to inspect each shipment before it goes out, so this makes it a little difficult. Her name is Linda Gusman at LSGusman@yahoo.com.
I just met a man at a Commercial AP course in Ukiah Ca. who farms them and said he could get them. I will let you know when he replies to my email.
I found a place in Chinatown in San Francisco where you can buy a LB. for $15.95 3 inch live ones! they are salt water though. I'm not there yet but when i'm ready i'l know where to go.

Good luck.

Hi Sheryl, welcome. Are you thinking of having Malaysian prawns in your AP system. If so that sounds like a great idea.
Aloha Pierre
