well my 18 yr old son travis came to me recently with the aquaphonic growing idea... i had never heard of such a thing so it took me a lil bit to grasp the full concept but now im fully on board and have started experimenting with a 45 gallon tropical fish tank with an oascer a jack depsey and two african chiclids. who all eat live feeder fish. filtering water into a gravel bed on top of the tank with green pepper seedlings.. there growing soo?? but i know there is alot more to the whole system and thats what im here to learn about. with the added insentive of supporting my sons buisness and financial self supportive wellbeing,,.. sence it was his idea, till now ive only been lending sugestive support ,, but im now eager to jump in w/ both feet and along with my sons, start an aquaphonic company growing vegitive plants and fish for consumtion to be sold to local merchants and resturaunts on a much larger scale than a tropical fish tank of course . i am currently seeking information for creating a buisness plan layout.. ( as many others are as well im finding ) soooo thank you for any info that will help us along in promoteing an evironmentaly friendly aquaphonic growing system for our family, comunity and the overall health of our planet, while we still have this god given opportunity to exel and not just exist but thrive with a creatively driven passion... thank you dearly,, ALLAN RAU

Thanks for joining the Aquaponic Gardening community! I hope you find it a fun place to explore aquaponics. There is a real blend of experienced and new aquapons in this community, so please don’t hesitate to get in there and start asking questions. Everyone is quite happy to help out new members – no question is too basic.
A great place to start is to read the “How to Use This Site” link on the upper right corner, “Start Here” section of the Home page. You might also find the “Aquaponic Gardening Rules of Thumb” guidelines helpful.
Please participate and check in with us every day! We are constantly posting news about aquaponics and the good food movement.
Normally Sylvia Bernstein, the community's founder, would be welcoming you, but she is enjoying a well deserved vacation and I am helping out by welcoming new members in her absence. I am certain she would be excited to have you join and she will be looking forward to getting to know you upon her return. Thanks again for joining us, and I too look forward to getting to know you. See you around the site!
