At 7:38am on February 26, 2012, Tom Helmers said…: I should have the green house finished this weekend.. It is 12'x28' so there is plenty of room. I still need to get some tables built though. I am still working on the rocket mass heater that will heat the place. It could be a couple more weekends before I am done with it. The Aquaponics project will begin after the mass heater is working. I am a high school science teacher and am relatively new to the world of aquaponics; my students have built a vertical aquaponics system with a 75 gallon aquarium at its core, and next week we will be "planting" tomatoes, lettuce, bell and hot peppers, spinach, kale, snow peas, and several herbs in our system. I'm not sure exactly what to expect, but the students (high school seniors) have been very engaged throughout the project.
