Hey Rick, How are tings going in your world? I'm doing A OK here so just curious. Anything I can help with?
Yes temp/ shading would effect growth rate of phytoplankton growth.
I know it would cost more than simply digging or using existing ponds but I suggest maybe building a lined pond to control the rate of water flow so you can control the nutrient potency, otherwise you will be loosing a lot of valuable nutrients and cause pollution (ammonia won't collect in the pond for plant use on the hydroponic side. pH control would be near impossible in an underground flow-through system. 6.5 is good.
I am simply spread too thin these days...arrrrgggg... you know the saying "when it rains, it pours". Two, three years ago I had nothing but time. Now all these pokers/ irons are hot and ready, all at the same time. I sleep four to five hours at night with cat naps during the day whenever I need (if I'm on my farm).
I don't know when but I am still convinced that poop will be a hot commodity in the future. It makes no sense to me to flush all this nutrient down the drain to continue supporting the growth of chemical companies.
Cheers my friend.
Talk soon.
Thanks for the add and for yor support. Nope. Couldn't/ can't open your link. will try Friday after i get back from my garden.
Cheers
