My husband and I in the research stages of aquaponics farming. The area we live in here in Alabama makes this type of farming more affordable for what our goals are. We are interested in both a not-for-profit business as well as a for-profit fertilizer business. We recently (within last 90 days) moved to this area and have been trying unsuccessfully in establishing a "traditional" farm, but as the clay here becomes wet with the rains, it tends to suffocate the roots of the plants. This has led us to look more into hydroponics as well as aquaponic systems.

Thus far we have been able to establish an extremely small scale water filtration system with a 5 gallon bucket, a water pump and small (shoe-box size) plastic bin to test how the system functions. We are ready to move on to a much larger scale production.

The area we live in has ample land available and I have several potential investors lined up to present a business plan which will reduce the need to present the plan to any banking institutions.

We are looking to help support local church food pantries, local schools (including them in our project for their FFA chapters), and also provide sustenance to local recipients of government assistance.

I noticed in posts to a gentleman from Texas, you have a business plan template you were willing to provide him in assisting his aquaponic farming needs. I would like to know if you still have this template available and how I could get a copy from you as well as how much it would cost.

Thank you so much for your assistance with my request. This is a dream of my husband's and I am going to do everything in my power to help in making this a reality.

Sincerely,

Rashelle Goodner

I have been planning my 1st system for a few months now and plan on building a greenhouse and small system after my vacation. I have only seen 1 media filled f&d  system in person and I see you might have a multiple grow media system also using something more practical then clay pellets. I happen to be on vacation in Orange Beach for the month is there any chance I could view your system in person? It would be My wife, father Aunt and my self. We took a very beginner class last week in Birmingham but the more 1st hand experience you can learn from the better!
