I have been into hydroponics for a few years now, but Aquaponics has had my complete attention now for about 6 months. This is my calling, and I absolutely must learn more so I can master this, and then of course teach others. Ever since I moved to FL from just outside Peoria,IL (farm land) 5 years ago, I have wanted to do something that would be in the Agriculture field, or at least possibly work in a greenhouse. I have looked at just about every video out there on YouTube as far as designs and setups. I'm basically at the point where I've gone out to Home depot and the local hydroponics shop several times, and I've gotten just about everything I need. I'm just going to dive right in head first into this thing and just start building. My wife and I are moving to St Pete this weekend. We have a 3rd floor apartment with a 100 square foot porch, (with lots of sun) so it should be pretty interesting. We are very excited about the fresh food market here in downtown every Saturday, and hopefully someday I would love to be able to sell fresh organic food and promote this amazing system. For the last month or so all I've been trying to do is network myself with people so I can get going with this as fast and as soon as possible. I was even looking online for grants to see if there are any areas around here that we can possibly get an Aquaponics greenhouse setup similar to the one up in Dade City, but for our St Pete community. I am thrilled to be a part of this movement, and I look forward to hopefully meeting some of you and learning more about Aquaponics in the very near future
