Please tell us something else about yourself.: New York Sun Works is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization which builds classroom laboratories for schools that utilize innovative growing technologies such as hydroponics and aquaponics. Through this work we aim to greatly enhance the quality of science education in urban schools and to create a generation of environmental stewards who will be equipped to find solutions to the global crises we currently face.

New York Sun Works has recently launched its "100 Greenhouses" Initiative! Over the next decade, we plan to build 100 greenhouses at schools and in community brownfields in order to increase urban sustainability and enhance science education. It will also increase the amount of local, organic food available within New York.

I said maybe, I would have to look into it. After doing research for 6 months, I replied back to him and yes it is feasible. I used to be a hatchery manager for Alpine Farms and we were the first in WI to successfully raise yellow perch in RAS (indoor tanks). I have the fish part down, now I need the learn the plant side. I hope that helps! One question that keeps popping in my head with rooftop greenhouses is obviously the weight concern. I assume only specific buildings can support the weight of the water?
